Forgiveness and Your Mind

Forgiveness & renewing the mind are two of the most important decisions you could ever decide to do.

Don’t let the sun go down on your anger. So when you wake up you can form your new mind with health and wholeness and God’s best for your life. Not with the bad or negative “trees” that would form if you hold on to unforgiveness and/or bitterness.

Dr. Leaf explains that every night and morning, your mind goes through the process of epigenetics, which explains and coincides with the scripture that says “God’s mercies are new every morning” and “you transform your life by the renewing of your mind” - you can only do these things if what is in your mind is first good and worth thinking about according to God’s standards.

If you wake up with bitterness and un-forgiveness and you keep going over and over the same unworthy things that you are thinking about then the only result would be for the “bad trees” to form in your brain and your neurogenesis would then be polluted.

And, this is how sickness and disease are formed in the body. Dr. Leaf explains how % sicknesses and diseases are formed within your thought life. Your thoughts (mind) tells your brain what cells to activate or deactivate and your cells align themselves accordingly.

So, if you have released people and are working on rooting out bitterness and un-forgiveness in your life then your neurogenesis will have renewed themselves in healthy and positive ways. Therefore your mind will tell your brain healthy things to think about and do and your cells in your body will act accordingly. They all work together to bring you health, joy, and longevity.

Dr. Leaf showcases how this works scientifically, by explaining, “What you are thinking about every moment of every day becomes a physical reality in your brain and body, which affects your optimal mental and physical health.”

“These thoughts collectively form your attitude, which is your state of mind, and it’s your attitude and not your DNA that determines much of the quality of your life. The state of mind is a real, physical, electromagnetic, quantum, and scientific flow in the brain that switches groups of genes on or off in a positive or negative direction based on your choices and subsequent reactions. Scientifically, this is called epigenetics; spiritually, this is the enactment of Deuteronomy 30:19, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” The brain responds to your mind by sending these neurological signals throughout the body, which means that your thoughts and emotions are transformed into physiological and spiritual effects, and then physiological experiences transform into mental and emotional states. … a belief can take on a physical existence as a positive or negative change in our cells. We are wired for love. Our brain is constantly growing and adapting - it can change and renew. In addition, God has built in the operating principle of neurogenesis - new nerve cells are birthed daily for our mental benefit. This sounds like Lamentations 3:22-23, “The Lord’s mercies… are new every morning.”

If, however, you refuse to forgive and keep mumbling and complaining about the same old dead horse - your new cell will have renewed themselves with the added addition of the negative cloud that is now wired into them. Then, your mind will tell your brain of all the bad things to do, because you just determined you are “sick and tired” - and that’s exactly how your body and brain will respond. In unison. You just started the genesis of your sickness or disease in your body and life and also now have given a foothold to the devil to enter into your life to do even more damage. Because, as John 10:10 says, “The devil comes only to steal, kill and destroy…” You have just now activated that.

But, if you choose the good portion which is the life that Jesus died so that you could have you are now activating the second part of John 10:10, Jesus said, “But I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly to the fill till it overflows.”

Dr. Leaf goes on to state, “…that 75 to 98 percent of mental and physical and behavioral illness comes from one’s thought life.” She also explains that “DNA actually changes shape according to our thoughts,” “…negative thinking leads to stress, which affects our body’s natural healing capacities. Toxic thinking wears down the brain.”

Bible Study | Strategies Against the Wiles | Week 3

Go over HW week 2: Where are your strongholds? Words? Thoughts? How does the devil try to keep attacking you? Did you see a pattern? Did you ask for God’s help and angelic assistance? Bible Study: The Majesty & Goodness of God Week 2

Bible Study Week 2 - Alpha and Omega Pray. HW review:  Psalm 37:4-6   Psalm 84:11  Psalm 135:3   Proverbs 10:22 Did you have any thoughts or revelations while reading and writing these scriptures? God is the beginning and the end - He knew the end of human history/the world before He created the foundations of the earth. We see this in the way He created the world as we discussed last time. It’s interesting to note that when people write movie scripts, novels, or other storytelling works, the artists usually start with the end first and then work their way back to then write the beginning. We even create in the same as God because we are after all made in His image. Alpha & Omega - The Beginning and The End He created and started creation, Heavens and all of eternity and He will be the one to end it, recreate and reestablish it - Genesis -> Revelation (The Apocalypse)  Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the...

Frienemies: Have you had a Judas?

Bible says Judas kissed Jesus with fakeness. Are there people you hug upon greeting as a real friend that you are not sincere about? Do you greet people at work with a smile and then proceed to talk about them behind their backs? Do you routinely take credit for someone else's work to get that promotion but act like you are best friends with the person you just stole from? Do you greet people with an empty and selfish heart at church? And you say hi to people with a fake smile? Have you ever told someone you'd pray for them on social media but just muddled under your breath about them instead? Have you ever pretended to give warmth to someone purely because you wanted to get something from them? All of these are examples of being a Judas. No one wants a Judas in their friendship circle even though most of us have experienced it. If you are the Judas, you must realize that in the end, Judas felt so much remorse for what he did, he hung himself. It was all for money. That is not ...
