Thursday Ten: Muisc

Over the last several years, I have significantly distanced myself from "pop radio" and I have learned to become a better steward over my eye and ear gates. Instead, I have chosen a new musical path to enjoy. I have rediscovered my enjoyment of classical music and gained a new appreciation for the southern gospel I was raised on, thanks to my daddy. It may come as a surprise to you that a millennial is disembarking on a new musical influential journey based on my independent thought and reasoning. I am no longer accepting what society, the infamous "they" or a demonic marketing team is trying to shove down my throat, convince me to buy and be influenced by the result. It's become such a soul-searching, CD-throwing out, and, most importantly, freeing paradigm-shift. Here is a list of what I found to make my heart joyful and honor God in the process. I hope it will free up your heart to discover what is pleasant and endearing to your own life and soul. J.S. Bach ...

Bible Study Week 4 FINAL - The Lord Will Provide Pray. Homework review Jehovah Jireh - Yahweh-Yireh - Gen 22:14 Abraham & Isaac - Picture or shadow of what God did and was willing to do for us with His only begotten Son, Jesus. Gen 22:1-14 NLT - Abraham’s Faith Tested 1"Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called. “Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.” 2“Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” 3The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about. 4On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5“Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will wors...

Bible Study Week 3 - The Lord is My Shepherd Pray. Homework review. Jehovah-Ra’ah - The Lord is My Shepherd God guides, protects, feeds, leads - God of the Rescue Psalm 77:11-20 NLT "But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. 12They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works. 13O God, your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as you? 14You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations. 15By your strong arm, you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Interlude 16When the Red Sea saw you, O God, its waters looked and trembled! The sea quaked to its very depths. 17The clouds poured down rain; the thunder rumbled in the sky. Your arrows of lightning flashed. 18Your thunder roared from the whirlwind; the lightning lit up the world! The earth trembled and shook. 19Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters— a pathway ...

The Lord Is Your Help In Time of Trouble | Podcast

What is your response in times of trouble? Do you let the Lord help you? Do you seek Him first? Or do you go straight to your phone can repeat everything bad to all your friends and take their advice? I say this in love, but before you are willing to take another person’s advice on any situation you need to first ask of and seek the Lord. If someone is trying to give you advice, before you listen to what it is, you need to respectfully ask them when was the last time you read your bible? If the answer isn't “today” you need to seriously reconsider if you should be taking their advice at all. You need Godly advice, wisdom, leadership, and discernment. You don’t need a mixture of worldly and biblical advice, that will only lead to death, destruction, and your downfall. Always first, seek and ask the Lord. Psalm 28:7 "The Lord is my strength and my impenetrable Shield; my heart trust in, relies on and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices...

Joshua Bible Study Week 1 | Podcast

Terah was called to develop his camp in Canaan but he chooses to settle in Haran. Halfway to his destination point. Genesis 11:31 records this poor choice. Genesis 11:31 NLT “One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there. 32Terah lived for 205 years and died while still in Haran” If the Israelites were already in Canaan they wouldn’t have had to spend entire lifetimes (Joshua’s) and generations after fighting the enemy to take what was already theirs/what already belong to them/God’s decree for their lives, family, and nation. If they were already in the land God had promised to them just think what more they could have done for the kingdom of God and the land of Israel. Instead, they ended up being in constant turmoil and continuously fighting. Think of how many lives could have bee...
