Addiction

Proverbs 3:5 “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your insight or understanding.” God is saying your confidence needs to solely be in Him; not in yourself, your family, or your past. You cannot find confidence in the bottom of a bottle or a bag of chips. Nor will you find it in any type of sexual experience. You can’t find it on a shopping spree and most certainly won’t find it having an affair.  When we are putting our trust, confidence, sense of relief, or understanding in anything other than the Lord we are having an affair on God. The Bible states that God is a jealous God who wants to be on the throne of our hearts. That is the only way He can help you or me.  You must and need to allow God to be God because relying on anything other than Him will only lead to catastrophic results. It will lead to emptiness and sin.  God has called us to a life of joy, abundance in all good areas, and health and Godli...

Forgiveness and Your Mind

Forgiveness & renewing the mind are two of the most important decisions you could ever decide to do. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger. So when you wake up you can form your new mind with health and wholeness and God’s best for your life. Not with the bad or negative “trees” that would form if you hold on to unforgiveness and/or bitterness. Dr. Leaf explains that every night and morning, your mind goes through the process of epigenetics, which explains and coincides with the scripture that says “God’s mercies are new every morning” and “you transform your life by the renewing of your mind” - you can only do these things if what is in your mind is first good and worth thinking about according to God’s standards. If you wake up with bitterness and un-forgiveness and you keep going over and over the same unworthy things that you are thinking about then the only result would be for the “bad trees” to form in your brain and your neurogenesis would then be polluted. And, this is h...

When People Don’t Understand

Acts 7:25 He expected his brethren to understand that God was granting them deliverance by is hand [taking it for granted that they would accept him]; but they did not understand. Moses when he avenged the oppressed Israelite by striking down the Egyptian and slaying him (v 24) People do not always understand your actions or what is in your heart. They are not privy to and they sometimes can lack the knowledge and wisdom and explanation of things that God has placed in your heart. They can also lack common sense. They can lack your viewpoint and your judgement of a situation. Do not be surprised when mere men or women do not grasp the knowledge of what the Lord is wanting to do in their own lives through you. God might have sent you to be a believer of a particular group of people but will not send the word of knowledge ahead of the event and/or you arriving on the scene to do so. He will often not magnify their hearts to this change and/or deliverance because it obstructs the decision...
