The Mind & Your Words
Our thoughts are real. They are tangible and take up space in our brains. Our thoughts become our words and our actions. Our thoughts tell our body what physical actions our DNA what to do and what not to do.
How do our thoughts translate into creating the world around us and, determine if we will see and experience life or death? Analyzing our thoughts and protecting our words.
What are our weapons?
- 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5
Dr. Caroline Leaf explains our minds and brains very well. Our brains are neuroplastic. We can change our brains to become healthy. We do control our thoughts. - “I take every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ” not our obedience but the obedience of Christ - Romans 5:19
We must analyze our thoughts like they are soldiers and we must decide if they are from our enemy or our ally. If from our enemy, we capture it immediately and send them to our spiritual Gitmo, Jesus. And, if from our ally we bless it and carry on.
We must be on constant guard. The Bible tells us to guard our hearts for out of it flows the well-springs of life.
So, our life depends on what is in our hearts, and the information that gets into our hearts comes from what is included in our thoughts. Our thoughts very literally determine our life or death. - As he thinketh in his heart so he is.
What strongholds in your mind do you have? Do you know how to identify thoughts delivered and offered to you by the enemy? Do you question how you can defeat wrong mindsets and renew your mind? - Eph 4:22-25
“Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unnerved self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lust and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another.”
Highlight, underline, read out loud - get this in your spirit - see how many times God brings up our thoughts and words. This is God communicating to us how important it is to Him that we get this aspect under correct control. We - Psalm 19:14

“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. you know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.” - Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” - Proverbs 21:5

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for this sake of the Good News.”
HW: Write down and track where your strongholds are and in what area. Words? Thoughts? How does the devil try to keep attacking you? Do you see a pattern? Pray against it, ask for God’s help and angelic assistance.
Speak these scriptures out loud at least once a day this week. Writing them out by longhand will also help you to get them into your spirit.
